A cylindrical solar garden lantern, available in two sizes (9.25 in / 23.5 cm or 6.9 in / 17.5 cm tall), personalized with a photo of your loved one. A wrap-around polycarbonate shade carries the design across four sides: their portrait rendered in a Tiffany-inspired, stained-glass style, a side with their name, their birth and passing years, and a short line of remembrance you choose, and coordinating florals around the rest. The shade sits in a cylindrical metal body with a brushed antique-copper finish, a half-round carry handle, and a round solar disc on top. At dusk the built-in light makes the whole lantern glow from within, like a small stained glass window standing in your garden.

Materials & Construction

• Shade: one continuous wrap-around translucent, weatherproof polycarbonate shade that carries the portrait across four sides in a glowing, stained-glass-style color — bright as artwork by day, lit from within at dusk.
• Body: a cylindrical metal lantern with a brushed antique-copper (oil-rubbed bronze) finish, a top cap, base ring, and a half-round carry handle.
• Top: round solar disc that charges the built-in rechargeable battery — no wiring, nothing to plug in.
• Weather rating: IP65 — rain, sprinklers, and dust are fine; a small drain hole in the base lets water escape.

Wipe the shade with a soft damp cloth; no polish needed. Keep the top solar disc clean and give it several hours of direct sun for the brightest glow. Because each lantern is made to your photo, it ships direct from our workshop: we make it within 1–3 business days, then tracked delivery takes 6–12 business days, so most orders arrive in about 2 to 2.5 weeks. Ordering for Christmas? Please place custom orders by December 3 to arrive in time. For a birthday or a memorial date, allow 3 weeks to be safe. Each lantern ships in protective foam packaging, and damage in transit is replaced free.

Will I see what it looks like before you make it?

Yes. After you upload the photo and add the name and years, you see an exact on-screen preview of the finished portrait panel before you check out. We make the lantern to match the preview you approve — nothing is printed until you are happy with it, so it looks just like them when it arrives, with no surprises.

What kind of photo should I upload?

One clear, well-lit photo of the face works best — looking toward the camera, in focus, not too dark. A phone photo is fine. Avoid heavy filters or blurry, far-away shots. If your photo will not work well, we reach out before printing rather than guessing, so the portrait does them justice.

How much light does it give at night?

The whole panel glows softly from within, so the portrait lights up warmly at dusk. It is a remembrance and accent light — a gentle, comforting glow you can see across the garden or by the door, rather than a bright path or flood light. For the strongest glow, give the solar disc several hours of direct sun during the day.

Can I add a name, dates, and a special verse?

Yes. Can it stay outside in the rain?

Yes. The lantern is rated IP65, which means it is protected against rain, sprinklers, and dust, with a small drain hole in the base. It is built to live outdoors year-round, though a sheltered spot during hail or a hard freeze will extend the life of any garden light.

Does it really turn on by itself?

Most US orders arrive in about 2 to 2.5 weeks with free US shipping: we make your lantern within 1–3 business days and tracked delivery takes 6–12 business days. For Christmas delivery, please order by December 3. For a birthday or memorial date, order at least 3 weeks ahead to be safe.

Can I ship it directly to someone as a gift?

Yes — enter their address at checkout and we send it straight to them in protective foam packaging, ready to gift. Many customers send one to a grieving friend in place of flowers; unlike a bouquet, it returns every evening at dusk. If the loss is recent, you may wish to let them know it holds a photo, so they can open it when they feel ready.

What if it arrives damaged, and can I return it?

We replace it free. If the lantern arrives cracked or the light will not come on, send us a photo within 48 hours of delivery and we ship a replacement at no charge — no need to return the damaged one. Because each one is personalized to your photo, we cannot accept returns for change of mind, but any quality or shipping problem is on us.
